Careprost Plus Eye Drops 3 ml belongs to the class of medication called 'ophthalmic preparations' used to treat raised /increased pressure in the eye. It may lead to an illness called glaucoma. Careprost Plus Eye Drops 3 ml is used alone or in combination with other drugs. Glaucoma is an eye disease in which the optic nerve is damaged. This damaged nerve leads to an increase in eye pressure abnormally.
Careprost Plus Eye Drops 3 ml contains Bimatoprost (prostaglandin analogue) and Timolol (beta-blocker), primarily used in treating ocular hypertension (high pressure of the eye). Bimatoprost works by increasing the drainage of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye) from the eye and reducing eye pressure. Timolol works by decreasing the fluid production in the eye as the increased pressure can lead to a disease called glaucoma. If the pressure is too high, it can also lead to loss of sight. Careprost Plus Eye Drops 3 ml should be put only in the infected eye, and contact with the normal eye should be avoided.
Take Careprost Plus Eye Drops 3 ml as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Careprost Plus Eye Drops 3 ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending upon your medical condition. Glucomol 0.5% Eye Drop 5 ml belongs to a class of anti-hypertensive drugs called 'beta-blockers' primarily used to treat increased pressure in the eye in conditions of glaucoma (damage of optic nerve) and ocular hypertension (high fluid pressure inside the eye). Glaucoma is an eye condition which causes damage to the optic nerve (essential for good vision) due to abnormally increased pressure in the eye. Ocular hypertension is increased pressure in the eye due to poor drainage of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye that maintains normal pressure by its continuous flow).
Glucomol 0.5% Eye Drop 5 ml works by decreasing the secretion of aqueous humour (a liquid that maintains normal pressure in the eyeball) by the ciliary body into the eyeball. Thereby lowers the pressure in the eye by reducing aqueous humour entry into the eyeball.
Apply one drop of Glucomol 0.5% Eye Drop 5 ml in the morning and one drop in the evening in the affected eye. Your doctor will advise you how many drops to instil based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience redness, itching, stinging or burning in the eyes, swelling of the eyelid and dry eyes. Most of these side effects of Glucomol 0.5% Eye Drop 5 ml do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects worsen or persist, please consult your doctor.
If you are known to be allergic to Glucomol 0.5% Eye Drop 5 ml or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Glucomol 0.5% Eye Drop 5 ml should be used with caution in children. Your doctor will estimate the benefits and risks of Glucomol 0.5% Eye Drop 5 ml in children, and if Glucomol 0.5% Eye Drop 5 ml is used in newborn, they should be under close observation for 1 to 2 hours after the first dose and adverse effects should be monitored. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before taking Glucomol 0.5% Eye Drop 5 ml. You are advised to remove soft contact lenses before using Glucomol 0.5% Eye Drop 5 ml as it may cause discolouration of soft contact lens.

Cromal Eye Drops 5 ml belongs to a group of medications called ‘antiallergics’ used to treat allergic rhinitis, prevention of asthma and conjunctivitis (pink eye). Allergic rhinitis (hay fever) is a type of seasonal allergies characterized by a runny nose, sneezing, red, watery, itchy, and swollen eyes occurring due to exposure to allergens. Asthma is a condition in which the airways gets narrowed and swollen, resulting in difficulty breathing, coughing, and wheezing (whistling sound).

Bimatoprost is used to treat high pressure inside the eye due to glaucoma (open-angle type) or other eye diseases (such as ocular hypertension). Lowering high pressure inside the eye can help prevent blindness. This medication works by regulating the flow of fluid within the eye to maintain a normal pressure.
Apply this medication in the affected eye(s), usually once a day in the evening, or as directed by your doctor. Do not use bimatoprost more often because it will not work as well.
To apply eye drops, wash your hands first. To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface.
Bimatoprost contains a preservative that may stain contact lenses. If you are wearing contact lenses, remove them before using your eye drops. Wait at least 15 minutes after each dose before putting your lenses back in.
Tilt your head back, look upward, and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. Hold the dropper directly over your eye and place one drop into the pouch. Look downward and gently close your eyes for 1 to 2 minutes. Place one finger at the corner of your eye (near the nose) and apply gentle pressure. This will prevent the medication from draining out. Try not to blink and do not rub your eye. Repeat these steps for your other eye if so directed
