The active substance is estradiol 1 mg or 2 mg (as estradiol hemihydrate).
Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Tab 1 mg: lactose monohydrate, maize starch, hydroxypropylcellulose, talc and magnesium stearate.
The film-coating contains: hypromellose, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), propylene glycol and red iron oxide (E172).
Tab 2 mg: lactose monohydrate, maize starch, hydroxypropylcellulose, talc and magnesium stearate. Film-coating: Hypromellose, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol 400 and indigo carmine (E132).

Indications/Uses

Estrofem is a Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). It contains the female hormone estradiol.
Estrofem is used in postmenopausal women, particularly in women who have had their womb removed (have had a hysterectomy) and therefore do not require combined oestrogen/progestagen therapy.
Estrofem is used for: Relief of symptoms occurring after menopause: During the menopause, the amount of oestrogen produced by a woman's body drops. This can cause symptoms such as hot face, neck and chest ('hot flushes'). Estrofem alleviates these symptoms after menopause. Estrofem should only be prescribed if the symptoms seriously hinder the patient's daily life.
Prevention of osteoporosis: (thinning of the bones), if the patient is at high risk of future fracture and if unable to take other medications for this purpose.
There is only limited experience of treating women older than 65 years.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Always take Estrofem exactly as told by the doctor. Check with the doctor or pharmacist if unsure.
If the womb has been removed or if the patient has no vaginal bleeding and is not taking other hormone therapy products, treatment can be started on any convenient day.
Take one tablet every day, at about the same time each day. After finishing all the 28 tablets in the pack, start a new pack continuing the treatment without interruption.

The doctor will aim to prescribe the lowest dose to treat the symptoms for as short as necessary. Talk to the doctor if the patient thinks this dose is too strong or not strong enough.
If the patient has had the womb removed, the doctor will not prescribe a progestagen (another female hormone) in addition unless the patient has had a condition called endometriosis (deposition of uterine tissue outside the womb).
If the patient has taken other HRT products until now, ask the doctor or pharmacist when the patient should start taking Estrofem.
If the patient gets breakthrough bleeding or spotting, it is usually nothing to worry about, especially during the first few months of taking HRT (see Precautions).
If the patient forgets to take Estrofem: If the patient forgets to take the tablet at the usual time, take it within the next 12 hours. If more than 12 hours have gone by, skip the missed dose and start again as normal the next day. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten tablet. Forgetting a dose may increase the likelihood of breakthrough bleeding and spotting, if the patient still has her womb.
If the patient stops taking Estrofem: If the patient wants to stop taking Estrofem, talk to the doctor first. The doctor will explain the effects of stopping treatment and discuss other possibilities with the patient.

Estrabet 0.06% Gel is a female sex hormone (estrogen). This is a type of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) that is used to treat symptoms associated with menopause (hot flushes, vaginal dryness, and itching); estrogen deficiency; and thinning of bones (osteoporosis).

In some cases, Estrabet 0.06% Gel is also used to treat breast cancer and prostate cancer along with other anticancer medicines. It is to be taken at a fixed time(s) daily. The dose and duration will be decided by your doctor so that you get the right amount to control your symptoms. If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. Do not skip any dose and finish the full course of treatment. The treatment should not be stopped abruptly without consulting your doctor as this may affect the potency of this medicine.

ESTRADIOL VALERATE is a hormone replacement therapy used in the treatment of the symptoms of menopause, osteoporosis, hypoestrogenism due to hypogonadism, and advanced androgen-dependent carcinoma of the prostate. Menopause is the stopping of a woman’s period for life and is marked after an entire span of 12 months without periods.

ESTRADIOL VALERATE is composed of Estradiol valerate that works by enhancing the lowered levels of the sex hormone oestrogen in the peri or post-menopausal female body. This helps combat the various symptoms of menopause such as vaginal dryness, hot flashes (hot face, neck and chest) and weak bones. 

Take ESTRADIOL VALERATE as prescribed. In some cases, ESTRADIOL VALERATE may cause certain common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, breast soreness, headache and bloating. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects consistently.

Fertomid 100 Tablet is a medicine used to treat female infertility. It is used in women who are unable to become pregnant, due to ovulation problems or suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

Endogest 200 Capsule is also prescribed along with estrogen as a part of hormonal replacement therapy for preventing endometrial hyperplasia (thickening of the lining of the uterus).  It should be taken with food. It should be taken at the same time each day to get the most benefit. You should continue taking it for as long as your doctor has told you to, even if you feel well. 

The most common side effects include abdominal bloating, abdominal pain, dizziness, headache, depression, breast tenderness, hot flushes, vaginal discharge, joint paint, and urinary incontinence. Side effects are more common during the first few weeks and usually lessen as your body gets used to the medicine. You may also experience bleeding or spotting between your periods, consult with your doctor if it happens frequently. 

Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have, or have had, breast cancer, unusual bleeding in the vagina, or liver disease. You will probably have several tests both before and during treatment to check your womb.  Also, tell your doctor what other medicines you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by, this medicine. In general, it is advisable to avoid alcohol and smoking.

Risofos 35 Tablet is used to treat or prevent weakening of the bones (osteoporosis) caused by menopause or use of steroids. Using this medicine can reduce your risk of breaking bones.

Duphaston 10mg Tablet 10's refers to the class of drugs known as steroid hormones. It is also used in combination with estrogens for hormone replacement therapy in menopausal women and low sex hormone levels in women. Infertility is the inability to conceive within 12 months. On the other hand, Premenstrual syndrome comprises signs and symptoms like mood swings, tender breasts, food cravings, fatigue, irritability, and depression. It occurs during certain days of the menstrual periods in females, generally just before their menses.
